They should try winning two games in a row.
When players I hate do well it makes me want to face God and walk backwards into hell
Why are they taking away ABs from Rice by not batting him 2-3-4?
Because they’re not smart?
It’s just plain dumb.
Speaking of dumb, if this is who Wells is, they have to just stop giving him at bats. Not platoon him, but stop giving him ANY at bats. He simply sucks.
No idea what happened to him (unless you count Rowson et al as “happened”), but it doesn’t look to be a phase.
Either find a way to fix him (out of the ML team) or get what you can for him.
Actually playing this level of performance is ridiculous.
Rice may be the only guy on the team worth putting behind the plate.
Stanton last 14 days before today 178/541. Last 7 days 125/484
Mr 3/30 with a weak ground ball.
Stanton’s always super streaky. That doesn’t bother me at all.
Chisholm I just can’t figure out. It seems like there’s so much there, and it’s so close, but – damn, show SOMETHING!
Cody 227/626 last 14 days.
Warren looks AWESOME.
Surprising the hell out of me.
Ah Med
Now we’ll see whether Warren can handle success (or really any emotional change in the game).
RICE!
Rice is real, you know… good.
Almost as if they actually produced a (non-Judge) hitter.
Why don’t they just stick with this pitcher for another few innings?
The Bombers are back
That’s how bad Jazz is right now.
Royals putting on a clinic of haplessness.
I’m beginning to think this Royals pitcher doesn’t have it today.
Only guys who can’t hit this guy – Jazz and Judge.
UPD oh yeah Stanton.
Is this a replay from 98?
Clay Bellinger didn’t debut till ’99…
My fever must be spiking
You’re fine, the Royals are just not playing well.
No hits for Judge, Stanton, and Chisholm, and they scored 13 runs. Suzyn …
Well, that actually looked like a win.
We might actually have an impressive fight between Warren and Weathers for that #5 spot in the rotation.
If Warren can pitch like this, you’d probably prefer Weathers’ electric fastball in the pen.
Maybe.
He wasn’t tested in what beat him last start, there was no moment of adversity for him to buckle under the weight of it (or not).
Or between Warren, Weathers, and Gil for the #4 and #5.
If there were a competent bullpen, a 6 man rotation might be reasonable, particularly given how many of these starters are recovering from injury…
“Or between Warren, Weathers, and Gil for the #4 and #5.”
I think Gil is pretty clearly going to be sent to the minors when Rodon returns.
In other news, the junior varsity in Queens has been having a bit of a rough go of it.
Now 7-14, no Soto, Bichette off to a rough start, WOE of the NL.
Fucking lucky ass Rays, Skenes only pitched four innings because of rain delays, and now they’re finally breaking through against the stupid Pirates in the THIRTEENTH INNING in Pittsburgh!
Oh well.
