If they can’t hit THIS dude, they can’t hit ANYone.
They might be able to hit anyone.
Good inning for Fried, except for those three waste pitches.
Amazon Prime didn’t want this game?
Need to get to 50.
The last one to Cody was a strike. Lets save those gift calls for when we need them.
Stanton last 28 days 145/221/333 with 35 Ks and 7 walks. This won’t work in the playoffs.
We won’t face anyone in the payoffs as tough as what we’ve seen this series. Bases loaded, o out, 3-0 count on Stanton. That’s some brilliant Chicago pitching.
This has certainly been a paaaaaaaaaaainful start to the game, with that nonsense followed by Fried giving up back-to-back hits and a sac fly.
Yankees try to avoid an embarrassing defensive meltdown challenge is FAILED.
Not a good throw but Jazz needs to make that catch.
Agreed.
Bad inning, but honestly, this is the pitch count of most other Yankee starters in just ONE inning.
That was frustrating, but not surprising. They needed a wild pitch there to get ‘er done.
Judge! With #50! A Three ring Ballantine Blast (3-run HR).

McMahon 4/32 125 with 2 walks.
And $16 million due in both ’26 and ’27.
Never had an OPS+ higher than 98, twice, how did he ever get to $16 Million?
At least somebody here knows how to play the game.
Pretty valuable of Judge there.
Maybe they should consider starting Cabby for McMahon.
I’m shocked the Townies didn’t tank this series just to ratfuck NY.
They’re still playing for the top wild card spot.
That’s a fucking weird ass walk by Fried.
All part of his master plot.
Another fucking bizarre walk.
Glad Boone let him finish the inning.
Raleigh has just 16 IBB’s this year. Judge has 34.
So in theory Judge could have 84 homers by now while Raleigh could only have 74.
Bonds had 35 IBB’s in 2001, when he hit 73 actual homers, for a theoretical maximum of 108.
I wouldn’t fuck around, and just use Williams and Bednar if the Yankees don’t tack on (and come on, they’re obviously not going to tack on).
The Blue Jays have lost.
I like Paul’s attitude
The only question is whether Boston can beat whoever comes out of the NL
Fifty is so pedestrian
.
Brady Anderson, Greg Vaughan, and Albert Belle all hit 50 but never 51.
If a bye is involved going to a tiebreaker is nuts.
Trevor Rogers and Kyle Braddish scheduled for the weekend. Nobody’s doing us any favors.
If Judge doesn’t match his rookie year HR total then he’s washed up.
Raleigh already has a home run in his first at-bat.
63 is coming.
Raleigh #59. Playing the Rockies.
The Rockies starter has a career ERA over 7.
Curry said if Raleigh reached base his next 115 PAs he’d have the same OBP as Judge.
“Only” a two-run double for Raleigh in his next at-bat.
Reds helped the Mets out a LOT by losing their second in a row to the Pirates.
The Rockies pitched to Raleigh with a man on second and first base open, seriously. But Raleigh popped up.
Raleigh coming up in the 8th inning in a blowout.
And there’s #60.
And he hits #60. The Rockies are stupid.
One more game against the Rockies for him to hit two more, and then he’ll just need one more against the Dodgers to set the new AL record.
Rockies throwing a guy with a 9.16 ERA tomorrow.
The Rockies, as mentioned above, pitched to him earlier with first base open.
Good look at his rotund face circling the bases compared to his rookie card face. That rotund face is often a tip-off of PED use, Bonds had a real moon face once he started using.
Max Fried This Season:
19-5, 2.86 ERA, 189 K
Pitchers in Yankees history to have a season with …
✅19+ Wins
✅5 or Fewer Losses
✅180+ K
✅Sub-2.90 ERA
Max Fried (2025)
Ron Guidry (1978)
A Yankees player has held the AL single season HR record since 1920.
Jays get Rays this weekend while Yanks get Rogers and Bradish
The Rays have been pretty spry lately. The key is the Red Sox sweeping the Dodgers, in which case, if the Yankees can pull out a win in the finale of this season, they could then afford to go 2-1 in the Baltimore series and maybe still pull out the division.
Mets bailed out again as the Diamondbacks squander bases loaded, one out, in the bottom of the 10th, with a chance to tie the Mets in the standings (Arizona has the tiebreaker).
The Diamondbacks lose. The Mets have been extremely lucky this week. Coming back from 6-1 down, the Reds losing two in a row to the Pirates, and now Arizona chokes a win away.
Meanwhile, the Red Sox are getting close to being locked into the #2 Wild Card. The Yankees really need to win the AL East.
If the Yankees are the 1 seed they’d meet the 4 seed in the first round.
That’d be pretty hilarious if they end up playing the Red Sox in the first round anyways,
They really need to change that rule, by the way. The odds are very high that the #4 seed is going to have a better record than the #3 seed, right?
Judge just needs to hit 3 HR a day for the rest of the season, to finish with 63, and maybe the narrative would shift into his favor. But I wouldn’t count on it unless he wins the Triple Crown.
