Well, THIS is a guaranteed loss.
Shockingly Stroman with a clean inning. Not so shockingly the Yankees did nothing in their half.
Only Yankee with a pulse scatting. Two legit runs in this series so far, both courtesy Jazz.
Spence with his second home run in 3 games at AAA 273/1151 with 6 strikeouts..
Oswald Peraza DJ’s PT insurance. I mean 118 ABs Cash.
Only Yankee with a pulse. He’s solely responsible for every legit run this series. Scatman Chisholm.
Jazzy.
The big galumph adds on
One good game a week should suffice.
Is it Brubaker safe?
Brubaker about to try to set up the worst Yankee loss of the season.
3-9 with RISP, but the three were very nice.
I truly don’t get why Brubaker is being allowed to work through this.
Two runs in, no outs, and the bases are loaded. You can’t keep this shit going.
Even for shitty Boone, this is bizarre.
Worst less of the decade, incoming.
Heckuva Job TJ. Not helped by phenom but rescued for now by Scatman
Might be one of Brubaker’s last outings as a Yankee.
Also, Stroman was at 74 pitches, so…what the fuck?
During pregame Suzyn said they were targeting 75 pitches for him.
In-fucking-sanity.
This is why Judge needs to hit more HRs and stop striking out.
When the pitcher had him 0-2, and just kept throwing him balls to try to get him to chase, and he took the first two, but then finally swung over the third one…it’s just, like, dude, just TAKE THE FUCKING WALK.
Was Stroman on a pitch count? If so, then fair enough.
Oh, okay, looking into it, Stroman never got past 60 pitches in his rehab starts, so he almost certainly WAS on a pitch count today. So I can’t knock Boone for that. I CAN knock him for not pulling Brubaker as soon as it was bases loaded, no outs, and two runs in.
Scatman with some fine D this afternoon also
I hope that’s not an injury to Scatman
That’s definitely an injury. Hopefully not a major one.
Sure would be nice to get at least one run back.
About to be 3-10.
The Pirates, tired of scoring a mere 9-runs a game in the first two games against the Boys of Shea, have put up a 10 spot today.
Make that a 12 spot.
Jorbit Vivas, welcome back to the big leagues!
Peraza being the most automatic of automatic outs is an issue.
And it is, indeed, now 3-10.
The Yankees feel like that Seinfeld bit. “We know how hitting with runners in scoring position works.” “You don’t seem to. You know how to get runners on base, but not how to drive them in.”
Good thing Lo is out of the game now. Don’t want any of their good pitchers pitching anymore today.
After all that, Jazz didn’t even come out of the fucking game. Hilarious.
Do you just DH Jazz tomorrow to be safe?
Do you try to get two innings from Hill? Or do Hamilton in the 8th, Leiter in the 9th?
Pirates outscore the Boys of Shea 30-4 in the three game sweep.
Rays lose.
What I said! Judge needs to hit more HRs.
The A’s pitcher said that he wanted to strike Judge out. It didn’t work out that way (also, Judge, look what happens when you don’t chase balls, dude!).
Throw fucking strikes, Hamilton.
Hamilton, you fucking loser.
I am totally prepared for them to send Hamilton to the minors.
I am sure my tough love caused Hamilton to get his shit together. I assume you stick with him for a second inning to save all of the other relievers, right?
Loser Red Sox lose, so the lead over Toronto will remain 3 (or get cut to 2 if the Yankee somehow give up seven runs in the ninth inning).
I sort of like Volpe getting tossed.
Don’t like Weaver here. He doesn’t even need the work!
Maybe Weaver wants to work on some pitches?
Peraza is such a great defender. Some team really should try to trade for him to be their starting shortstop.
Great fielder but hits like a 1960s SS.
He hits like 1960 pitchers. In 2021 the year before the NL adapted the DH, pitchers hit 154. Peraza is hitting 157.
Yeah, but I think you can carry a guy like that at shortstop if he’s THIS good of a defender. You just can’t carry him at second base with this offense.
So you’re saying that if cashman had gotten a real 3b this offseason…yeah that sounds right.
