  1. Does he concentrate when it’s the Dodgers? Or is this just the usual Yankees nonsense after a game they scored a lot of runs in?

    1. I mean they could always do it anyway regardless of the circumstances

    1. If he was gonna keep throwing away his shot, then least they pulled him before Burr could pinch-hit.
Unfortunately, Weaver is getting crushed like Charles Lee.

  2. Weaver coming back down to earth. The Yankee pen just OK, Weaver allows BOTH inherited runners to score. Hamilton shits the bed. Without Devin being a stud this pen is ordinary.

  3. “Does anyone understand why The Martian got DEMOTED in the batting order after the previous game?!”

Brian, I presume you meant: given that a good game on a Boone team should get you automatically and unceremoniously benched, how can we explain his being ONLY demoted in the batting order?”

  4. I’m strangely optimistic about this team.
The last few years there were stretches where it felt they just couldn’t win, where they could never come back – this wasn’t like that. They could have won almost all of those games, and the reasons they lost (other than Boone) are problems that could easily solve themselves – Bellinger hitting and Williams pitching closer to their norms, for instance. Some weird failings over this period are far less important than (for example) Rodon finally having the kind of season they signed him for. That would be huge. And I believe Dominguez is eventually going to bust out and become a serious hitter.

    1. I’m pretty concerned about his ability to hit from the right. Obviously, he could develop there, but at what point do you have him abandon switch hitting?

With Grisham hitting so well, it sure seems like they should just routinely sit Dominguez against lefties. Let him figure his shit out against lefty relievers.
