Hey, Rodon, maybe try actually implementing what you’ve learned from all of your bullshit mistakes BEFORE you make them this time around, instead of AFTER like you normally do!
Looking at this pitching matchup reminds me of when Randy in A Christmas Story is crying and his mom asks why and he says “Dad’s gonna kill Ralphie”
Tomorrow’s way worse.
This asshole hasn’t learned anything.
“The main thing I need to do is avoid walks. So let me walk the leadoff batter in the game.” He’s just such a fucking dipshit.
Even when he was doing well last year, he had a hard time putting guys away, because he can’t locate anything, because he’s a moron.
It’s Rodon Day. 🙁
At least Rodon can strike out a mushroom.
Jansen three-run home run in 1…2…
Rays with some ugly uniforms.
BattleKitten
Got to give him credit for striking out the next three guys. God, he’s so fucking talented. If only he wasn’t such a dipshit, he’d be a fucking Cy Young pitcher.
Routine 28-pitch inning. Somehow, Rodon survived it.
Rasmussen just fucking DOMINATED Volpe.
Goldy has surprisingly decent wheels.
There’s your run, Carlos
He then dominated Waldo, and yet he walked Escarra on five pitches. Beee-zarre.
phenom down to 206 which is not so bad considering the 3 hitter is hitting 183 and the five hitter probable AL home run champion 167.
He’s fourth in the league in strikeout rate!! How is this bad when he is so good at striking dudes out!?
The three guys ahead of him are all stars (Gilbert, Ragans, and DeGrom), and Rodon sucks.
Tied for second in walks going into tonight
Oh boy, a six-pitch leadoff walk! Definitely not a fucking moron!
You can see that he at least approached the back of the Rays lineup like he should have. That’s SOMEthing.
Now that bum, Judge, isn’t even hitting .400 anymore! What a loser.
Five infielders for our #3 hitter with no one on and two out? Cody can’t get no respect.
Rasmussen is licking his chops with this Jazz matchup.
Jazz Chisholm, the new Didi Gregorius.
What a defensive play by Goldschmidt! You gotta run there, dude.
That’s the second EMBARRASSING at-bat by Volpe against Rasmussen. Holy shit, that was rough.
phenom 0/u 700 OPS season’s end?
What an amazing play by Volpe on defense, though. However, you gotta beat that out, if you’re Mead.
Helluva play both ends
I don’t love this ump’s take on the outside corner. “Maybe it’ll be a strike, maybe not. Who knows?”
What an embarrassing walk to Jansen.
Great K of Aranda, though. Waaaaaaaaaay too many pitches, though. 69 pitches through four.
Chisholm suspended 1 game for in-game social media post, but will appeal
Yankees second baseman ejected for arguing K, then expressed frustration from clubhouse

A suspension is awfully aggressive.
What a play by Goldschmidt! What a game he is having at first tonight.
Question – does it make more sense to try to get the runner at third sooner to avoid Walls getting to second? Or is getting the lead runner SUCH a big deal that it doesn’t matter?
I don’t get it, how can his hands be THIS slippery?!?
That was a heck of a bounce back after the leadoff double.
How do you pull him here for fucking JAZZ?!
Jazz wanted to help Volpe out by having an even more embarrassing at-bat than Volpe’s at-bats against Rasmussen.
His lack of control is so fucking annoying.
How funny would it be if Cabrera and Peraza took Volpe and Chisholm’s jobs
Brian, nothing sustains me as much as your burning hatred of Rodon, but you gotta like the results here
Yep, the results have been great so far.
Like, I don’t hate Stroman, because Stroman is just washed, there’s nothing really to hate there. Rodon SHOULDN’T suck, and yet he does, and that angers me.
Moar runz, plz.
Yeah, it seems very hard to believe they have three shutout innings in them.
It amuses me that Rodon was really angry in the dugout after his night was finished. Even he knew he could have been so much better.
Volpe, same as 2023 and 2024.
I’ve said it before, but he really IS the Rodon of hitters.
The early home runs are keeping him afloat.
I don’t think so Brian. Rodon has had some good seasons, Volpe never has.
Oh sure, in terms of results, but I mean they’re both so talented, and yet so undisciplined.
Let’s see how quickly Leiter can give up this lead.
He tried
What in the FUCK was Aranda thinking there?!?!
I thought he had it. That was a bullet by Volpe. The hitter was turning second when Grisham picked it up.
But you gotta be POSITIVE with no outs, no?
Gotta give Leiter credit, even had he allowed a triple, he then struck the next two dudes out.
OH WOW, what a catch. FUCK, that hurts.
Rice crushed that. Nothing for it.
How did they not get Waldo at first?
Boone with a Sterling
Right? How do you make that call right away when the glove was clearly right there?
What a catch! Oh Rice can hammer pitchers.
Judge will get it back
Almost
I agree with Frazier that the wind probably was the reason that Rice shot didn’t go further. It seemed like he crushed it.
The wind held up Judge’s shot, too. Fuck.
He sure seemed to be clearly out. What a weird call by the umpire.
Why Cruz over Weaver?
Something wrong with WIlliams?
I think they just wanted to give him another day of rest. Weaver is a stud though.
Volpe, the Mendoza line beckons.
Volpe really having a night
So, so embarrassing by Volpe.
Can’t they just move Volpe to the 9 slot?
I think at some point they have to think about sending Volpe down. Worked for Cano
Not at his point. They don’t have anyone else, maybe in season one.
Peraza can play short
Peraza’s never shown he can hit. It’s not like Volpe was ever a dominant minor league hitter, 820 AA, 718 AAA before joining the Yankees.
phenom now hitting 197. I just think Volpe is offensively what he’s shown us. Now maybe Boone and Rowson don’t know how to help him make adjustments. This swing hard all the time works for some guys. Volpe needs to approach each AB situationally and then maybe he’d suck slightly less.
Just stick to the plan Tony.
You could be right. Some guys are as good as they’re ever going to be when they come up. The defense is unexpectedly so good that the Yankees can live with it, but I wish he wasn’t swinging from the heels every AB
He should pick his spots to swing from the heels but he should try to hit singles, walk and steal bases most of the time.
If you had the Yankees winning a pitcher’s duel with Rodon vs. Rasmussen, I want your stock tips
