Get ready for some more sucktitude!
A run. Lucky hit Judge, unlucky out Wells.
That Wells ball was hit SO FUCKING WELL. What a shame.
Rodon meltdown coming 3-2-1. Aborted.
Verdugo owns the leadoff spot.
He is so fucking annoying. But as you noted last night, it’s not like The Martian is forcing the issue, ya know?
Rodon and Gil have been annoying, but you’d much prefer annoying to fucking sucking like Nestor and Stroman.
They didn’t catch that one Wellesley
He has been a godsend. Now I need Cowser to slump so that Wells can win ROY.
Can’t even have a productive groundnut, Gleyber?
Volpe looked like bad Gleyber on that AB.
I love Wells so much.
Hopefully Grisham isn’t hurt too bad.
An A bomb from Chisolm
Jazz Chisholm’s 6 HR are tied with Matt Carpenter for the most by a Yankee in his first 11 games with the team
We’ve all rightly been disappointed with the work Rowson has done here so far, but his past experience with Chisholm involved him developing Chisholm’s power stroke (which has vanished in recent years), and so if he could just continue to work with Chisholm like that, that’d be amazing.
Volpe dips back under 700, unfortunately.
Just when you think you’re in, he pushes you back out.
Game 1 was how a good team is suppose to win. Now do we shit the bed against another LHP?
Frankly, if they win Game 2 the way a bad team is supposed to win, I won’t complain.
Looks like it, and now Cole is shitting the bed, as well.
Cole took what I said personally.
Cole 6 hits and 2 walks thru 4, but 8 Ks.
I still wouldn’t have pulled him at 90 pitches.
Not ideal, but he did just have to miss a start due to slow recovery.
DJ OPS still stuck in the 500’s. How many more AB’s did he buy with the 6 RBI game? 100+?
This team is offensively challenged at 1B, 2b and LF. For now and probably for the rest of the season at DH. I don’t know which Volpe is the real one and the jury’s out on Jazz.
Wow, Weaver is just falling apart.
After the 4th consecutive guy got on, after the rocketed out, did anyone but Boone not think “this guy doesn’t have it today”?
Playing 500 ball at home against two under 500 teams. Is that good or bad?
Wait until they lose tomorrow, that would be losing 4 of 6 to the Angels and Rangers at home (where they already have a mediocre home record).
This team shows energy in one game, then asleep the next. That’s on Boone.
It’s not a matter of energy, it’s a matter of talent. Was there a better option than Verdugo? What if he resigned Sevvy at 2/3 the cost of Stroman. Was it a good move to sign. Was it smart to sign Caleb, Gonzales and Santana instead of someone who was good?
Cashman’s just an unlucky guy.
Half the lineup is average or worse, 1/3 clearly worse. The team can’t hit LHPs. A problem Cash never addressed. Two of our starters are probably among the worst 5 in baseball. Cashman’s relief corps of retreads and rejects are pitching to their ability. For all the shit Holmes gets, and deserved, he’s clearly our best relievers.
Maybe Hal shouldn’t have been so generous and do two single pay doubleheaders, and instead he should have done separate gates. Maybe the time between, which is greater, would have allowed the sleepy Yankees a nice nap time.
Oh, and DFA DJ.
So, the best they can do on a 9-game homestand against the Blue Jays, Angels, and Rangers is 5-4.
And the losses to the Angels and Rangers aren’t even competitive.
“EASY SCHEDULE!”

RAB “Blown out for the third time in four games against two teams that are a combined 22 games under .500. About to drop to 10-19 in the last 29 home games.”
It’s all in front of us.
Yes, 2025 is in front of us. And if Cashman is back, same results.
The bullpen hasn’t been good in a while now, they give up a lot of runs. Blake’s Magic©.
But if they go 500 the rest of the way they’ll win 92 games and make the playoffs. (And lose in round 1.) another successful baseball season for a gigantic payroll.
Weaver 1/3ip 5 runs and 4 hits., Tonkin 1.1 3 runs and 5 hits.Buys who should be mopping up are pitching serious innings.
phenom now 0/15, 2/24. He’ll never be good. At best he’ll be a glove first SS with an occasional hot streak. Major disappointment after what we saw early in the season.
He hasn’t put a good month together in his career, like maybe offensive player of the month stuff.
Judge’s personal hitting coach was right in what he said a while back about the organization.
He’s still young, but it is looking more and more like your statement is correct. Overall, that’s still a nice player, but disappointing and frustrating, since he can look so good.
Since Hal will be paying Hixie thru 2025, Stroman, DJ and Stanton thru 2026, Soto will be a one and out.
Quite likely.
Those shouldn’t even count
A 2-run double for Jasson Dominguez
He hit it 109.7 MPH.

i have no idea what they’re waiting for, he should play for a month straight in left.
He’s not hitting, 214/567 in July, 154/385 in August. I don’t know what’s wrong.
Wait they’re still playing? I thought that was the 9th.
Baltimore leading 4-0 and with Stroman going tomorrow against ex Yankee and LHP Heaney it could be 2 1/2 games out by tomorrow night.
Yankees 8/10/22 71-41
8/10/24 69/49
What a pathetic home stand, even if they win on Sunday.
10-19 last 29 home games.
