    1. He’s one of the most fascinating Yankees hitters I’ve ever seen. He can strike out on three balls in the dirt against a bum, or hit a homer against an ace.

    1. I don’t know. He’s got a good fast ball otherwise he stinks. I’m not sure the mental aspect is more than minor. The game when he had the bad first he settled down the next 4. He’s 26 not 22.

  1. Just a reminder Will Warren breaking run value percentile ONE! Offspeed SIX. Pitching run value 25! XEra 4.55. 2024 era 10. 2024 MILB era 6.
    Will Warren is ungood.

    1. The problem with Leiter is that once he DID go three balls, the chances of him grooving one was high, so a walk wasn’t the WORST thing in the world.

Getting to 3-2 was the pathetic part.

  2. This is actually a fantastic team, and we don’t appreciate them.
They must be to be where they are, somehow, impossibly overcoming the overwhelming, concerted efforts of the manager to destroy every chance in every game.

  3. If the mutts and the Reds tie for the 3rd wild card, the mutts go home. If the Yanks and Jays tie for first, the Jays get a bye. That’s another down side of having three wild cards. So Random.

    1. Boone panicking. It’s more than it being a 4 run lead, Boone doesn’t understand the tactical implications of needing to win Saturday AND Sunday.

    1. YES had a stat that he’s had the worst defense behind him of any pitcher in baseball. -11 runs.

Not to say he has been good but they’ve really puntes behind him.

  4. Could have gotten just one damn man more on base to get Judge another at bat.

But can’t say they haven’t done a yeoman’s job playing out the stretch.
I’d love them to pull it out, but this has been fun.
