  1. Shocked, shocked Soto would die at second. Maybe they should move Verdugo back to cleanup. I think Verdugo feels disrespect being moved to the bottom of the order. Put him back at cleanup and he’ll shine again.

  2. This reminds me of the Boston series back when they had 50 wins and Rodon and Stroman both choked like complete losers. I said then, and I still believe, that you should never want Stroman to sniff a playoff start.

  3. 31-39 since mid June, worst team in the AL East. Bottom three or four in the majors. Still six up for the WC with the Cubs, Boston and Baltimore looming.

  4. Boone “we gotta be better than this if we wanna go where we wanna go. Excusing Verdugo for not always running hard. “”He’s beat up.” “A good amount of our pitcher are throwing the ball well. Obviously we need to be able to close game when you’ve got the lead.” Bullpen 12.27 era last 4 games.

  5. Yanks are now one of the 3 teams in the WC. The next team is 10 games out. So yeah, we will make the playoffs. But as noted above we will have the worst post June record of all of them. So winning any post season series should be a surprise.

  6. Boone and Cashman and Hal and Levine have reached their expiration date. I feel for Cole and Judge, this is probably their last ride. Soto is young enough he’ll win another World Series in his career with the Mets.

  7. Could drop to the third Wild Card spot. If you have the best run differential and you’re struggling is that a sign that the manger is mismanaging his assets? Or does it say the team hits it best when the game is out of hand?

  8. Jon Berti with a 4/4 last night but he’s a 34 year old journeyman middle infielder with a lifetime 92 OPS+. More drek. Ian Hamilton was good last night, Trivino was bad. I’d think Hamilton should be up real soon. Yankee relievers rank 22nd in era since the ASB.
