A team with good pitching. Ruh roh.
O/U Yankees runs, 3.5.
I’ll take the under.
Any moment now this offense will start humming. What they’ll be humming is another matter, perhaps ‘I’m a lumberjack, and I’m okay …’.
Whenever I’m not hitting
I hold my head erect
And whistle a happy tune,
So no one will suspect
I’m slumping
On pace for 6 hits, not too bad, showing signs of life.
Judge with a 5-4-3, nobody on however. Judge back under 200. The season is getting late early.
Wasn’t it just a couple of weeks ago that we also weren’t scoring?
Yankees are a beta team
Stroman’s been pretty good
Even in the minors Jones down to 274/790, 1/12. Maybe he’s not ready for AAA.
Will the hitting coach last the season?
1-0 loss incoming.
So, game over or GAME OVER?
This effing team, five walks in 5.1ip.
Before this game Stroman issued 4.3 BB/9 this season as opposed to 2.6 for his career.
Maybe ask Monty about the inflexible pitching philosophy.
If I were Monty I wouldn’t have signed here either.
I hadda open my big mouth
Ralph Kramden
It’s striking that so much of the (theoretical) offense rests on Rizzo, Stanton, and Judge, whose contributions are “can run into one now and then.” You only want one of those guys in the lineup at a time and you want them batting 8th or 9th.
That’s true of Rizzo and Stanton, in theory not Judge.
Until I see different my working theory is that Judge is cooked
Stanton with the hat trick, 9 Ks so far, 11 last night. Strike outs are OK if you also hit home runs.
Walks and errors are our friends. Double plays are our destiny.
This effing team.
Good thing the owner brought in some young, fresh thinking minds and jettisoned Cashman et al.
Phillies uniforms, meh. https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-images/image/upload/t_16x9/t_w2208/mlb/glwymokcrgut2osaoae5.jpg
O’Neill they’ve seen some good pitches to hit that they’ve fouled off.
Soto up, now or never. How do you walk Volpe there?
Never! Seems like the last couple of years it’s always never.
Soto is now infected too.
You hit enough ground balls to the left side, some of them find a hole.
It’s like I don’t even know this team any more
Susan?
Why pinch run for Stanton, whose run doesn’t matter?
Well I guess Boone pushed the right buttons
I know. Normal Booner idiocy.
Totally unexpected.
Slightly less inept than Detroit. Well that’s something.
I think we all knew that was going to happen.
Stanton’s first hit on a 97+ fastball this year.
9-3 in one run games, if we can keep winning 75% of one run games we should be fine.
I watched the video multiple times to see if the guys rushing Rizzo were avoiding his head or trying to bump it. Would be just like this team to incur a concussion in a walk-off pile-on…
back…and to the left
back…and to the left
Berti up, Trammel gone. Cole threw 15 pitches, all fastballs.
“Went pretty well,” he said.
Happy Derby Day to all who celebrate.
