  14. I truly feel like they’re trying to gaslight us into thinking Escarra can hit. They never bat him 9th. They fucking PINCH HIT him, and yet he never fucking does ANYthing. It’s bizarre as fuck.

  36. That was pathetic, two runs in the first, nothing the rest of the game, and just 4-hits, with three in the first inning, Meaning one hit in the last 8.2 innings. .

    1. He is OBSESSED with fucking lefty/righty matchups, when the lefties he is using FUCKING SUCK. It’s just absurd! I agree that Paul Goldschmidt against a righty isn’t a great option, but he’s better than lefties who fucking SUCK! Goldy was a regular against both lefties and righties for his entire career! He is a better option that JC Escarra and Ryan McMahon even if they’re lefties and the pitcher is a righty.

      Meanwhile, if Escarra were a better hitter than Wells, he would be a starter, right? So why the fuck don’t you use Wells over him there?

  38. This game really was on the offense. The bullpen was awesome except for Bednar, and he’s always struggled in non-save situations.

    Tomorrow will likely be Blackburn and Yarbrough for multiple innings. Winquest might finally make an appearance!

    2. This game was on the manager. He didn’t use his offense. Maybe Goldschmidt is secretly injured, or maybe Boone is irredeemably stupid, or maybe Boone is on the take. Or all of the above.

  42. Occam’s Razor would just say that Boone is irredeemably stupid and never should have had the job in the first place.

    But I’m really beginning to wonder if he’s even trying. Maybe he’s throwing games for extra money, or maybe he’s just engaged in stubborn and passive-aggressive retaliation to Cashman et al – by not playing certain people he didn’t think the team should have re-upped/acquired. But I think that’s being too charitable to Boone. He doesn’t have it in him to FU the FO, nor to FAFO. He’s just a nepo baby who can’t recognize incompetence in his players, let alone in himself.

    Fire his ass. Let any fan manage the team and they’ll do a better job. And fire Cashman’s ass too. Let my two-year-old build the roster and she’ll do a comparable job. For instance, she would have signed Cookie Carrasco.
