    1. Now, as I follow this, I think 3 or 4 hrs from Judge may be just about the only chance the Yankees have in this one.

    1. If his stuff is good, and it seems to be, some of the blame should fall on Boone, Blake and Rice.

  1. Booing politicians at the Stadium is a time-honored tradition that goes back to Mayor Jimmy Walker and it’s just nice to see some things never go outta style.

  2. If the Yankees had won ONE of the first two games, they would have won the first three of this four-series gauntlet.
Would we not have been thrilled? This has actually been pretty damned good, and it could easily have been far, far, far, far worse.

    1. It’s not like the first two were narrow losses though. They got beat like the redheaded stepchild of a rented mule.

    2. True. Although they could (and should) easily have won the 3rd game against the Unpunished Cheaters.

    3. The problem is not that we lost the first two games but that we couldn’t hit Mize or Flaherty all three of Boston’s starters are better than Mize or Flaherty.

  3. Bottom line..if they win one in Boston it’s 6-6 for the gauntlet which is what they are. A decent but not great team. And already better than some of the predictions on this site.

    1. Exactly, our expectations were so low that we expected to get crushed those 12 games. The Yankees-the soft bigotry of low expectations.
