When I said this series was going to be brutal, I just meant that they were going to get their asses kicked in terrible matchups like this one, not that Aaron Judge would have a season-ending injury!
But hey, maybe Judge’s inability to throw the ball from the outfield due to an elbow injury is, like, just fine. You know, how elbow injuries usually are just cool, and not a problem.
Losing judge sucks on its own, but it will also give these clowns cover for another pathetic season
Yep.
Last 22 games best bullpen in baseball 7.13 era.
Since sweeping the Royals the Yanks are an American League-worst 14-22
the Yanks are fading, the Yanks are fading
The drums rum-tumming everywhere but the Bronx
I hope this is not another season Judge will have seen ruined with injury like 2018, 2019, and 2023.
Stroman can’t even give them a GLIMMER of hope.
Let’s be honest, all this is on Hal keeping Cashman around. Making the WS last year gave Cashman cover. Teams move on from GM’s a few years after winning a WS. It will be 16 years and counting since they won a WS, same GM, an unheard of situation.
We were never beating Suárez anyway.
We can’t beat mediocre pitchers.
If you’re calling THAT a strike, Stanton has no CHANCE.
Suarez is good enuff without the hitter friendly ump helping him out.
Seriously!
Stanton had such a nice at-bat…until he then struck out on a pathetic pitch. Ouch.
I have no idea how Suarez threw 26 pitches when he only needed to throw pathetic balls in the dirt to get Stanton and Jazz to strike out.
McMahon fitting right in as a Yankee hitter against a lefty.
I sadly have to be slightly pleased to see Yerry de Los Santos back.
Like it mattered.
I don’t HATE the idea of giving Effross the rest of the season in the minors to see if he can ever recover from his injury woes. They still control him through 2027, I believe. I guess you don’t want to give up on him, just keep him out of the Majors.
You have Suarez throwing a lot of pitches, so, of course, Belli and Stanton both make first pitch outs. Awesome.
Especially since Suarez is good and their pen isn’t
Ay-yep.
Stroman trying a bold “Only throw balls” approach to try to get out of a jam.
Walk the #9 hitter to drive in a run to face Trea Turner with the bases loaded and one out. It’s a creative strategy by Stroman.
I think, when Gil returns, you just cut Stroman. He’s not useful in the bullpen, he’s not going to be part of the future of the team, just get rid of him.
I’m only paying attention until the Judge news is released, then I’m done wasting a Saturday on these chumps.
McMahon fitting riiiiiiiiiiight in.
The offense is actually making Suarez work, so of course the pitching is garbage.
And this is why we needed to win last night. We were never winning this game.
It’s really just disgusting how every single Yankee pitcher is garbage right now. Right down the line, they ALL suck. I guess Devin Williams and Cam Schlittler are okay.
I absolutely adore Lo entering the game and throwing three straight balls to the #2 hitter.
Just give me the fucking Judge news so I can stop paying attention to this shit!
The fact that there IS no news really suggests the news is bad.
Lo is about ready for the glue factory.
Hopefully this is Suarez’s last inning.
Just get the K over with, and start fresh with a reliever next inning.
Wow, a single. Already an improvement over anything Peraza could ever do there.
Seven hits and 8 Ks. Not too bad.
It’s hard to see this team winning a series from a good team. The Cubs, Phils and Jays all look so much better than us.
1-6 RISP. Where are all the home runs today?
Their ability as a good team is mostly centered on their two All-Star starters, Rodon and Fried, pitching like All-Stars. They’ve both sucked recently. If they’re going to suck, then yes, the team is going to be bad.
Haha, this is why Boone will never let Winans pitch.
Shouldn’t they call up guys who might actually be a theoretical option as a reliever?
If only we ha an owner who cared 25% as much as George did.
Pen 10 runs allowed yesterday. Only 5 so far today. Winans 11:era.
The seasons over 0.500 streak could be in jeopardy.
Just fucking tell us the news about Judge’s elbow! They obviously fucking know by now! It’s likely bad if they’re keeping quiet. Just fucking tell us!
Losing Judge ends the season. So, who can be moved for value without creating a massive hole in 2026?
Bellinger. Grisham. Williams.
Does Goldschmidt bring back anything worthwhile? Anyone else?
Okay, McMahon can at least play a really nice third base.
Flexor strain. 10-Day IL. PrP, and just hoping that he will avoid a tear.
The fact that it ISN’T a tear yet is obviously very good.
Flexor strain, no acute injury, il stint, hopefully short, DH at first.
Sounds as good as possible, right?
Yeah and unless the rest of team plays better it doesn’t matter.
G will start to get some work in the outfield to see if it’s an option. Boone discussed it with G.
There’s no reason he can’t at least fake right field.
Maybe it depends on the pitcher. For sure with Fried.
Before he injures himself.
Amusingly, he’s never hurt himself in the field, right?
The more he needs to do, the likelier he is to get hurt.
I do generally agree.
DH and Stanton sits. What else can they do? Sell Stanton at the deadline? And 10 days? I’ll believe it when it happens. But I’m hoping it is so.
I was out and just caught the McMahon play. The throw hit PGold in the glove. I’m so used to Yankee infielders bouncing the ball.
It was just an OUTSTANDING play all around.

PSA from PSA: Spencer Jones is out of the Triple-A lineup for the second straight night with back spasms.
This is why he will not be coming up to take Judge’s spot.
With the timeline the way it is, it doesn’t make any sense to add Jones to the 40 man, right? So I imagine it’ll be Pereira.
I think Gil was supposed to pitch but Carrasco got the start. Maybe Gil will piggy back Carrasco. They’re both on schedule to take over for Stroman.
Stroman sucks, but I’d sooner he pitch than Carrasco.
Jones has had the back spasms before.
The Blue Jays are up 2-0, the Yankees are circling the drain.
Yeah, the AL East is over. The Wild Card is still very much in play, though. Red Sox win, but you have to figure they’ll win their Crochet starts. Rays lost again.
It’s still very much in play is a far cry from not that long ago we were 95%+ to make the playoffs. Even a couple of weeks ago it was 90% and I said I’d like to short them.
Our new 7th inning guy
The Yankees are poised to acquire infielder Amed Rosario from the Nationals, per a report from Jack Curry of YES Network. New York will send right-hander Clayton Beeter and outfielder Browm Martinez to the Nationals in exchange for Rosario’s services.
Never mind
WC 1/2 up on Seattle, 1 on townies, 1.5 on Texas. 3.5 on Rays, 4 on Cleveland.
