    1. If my parents named me Charles Joseph then named my younger brother Blaze I’d probably be famous for shooting up my high school. I think this guy’s got to have a good head on his shoulders.

  1. NYY Lineup

    B Rice (L) DH
    A Judge (R) RF
    C Bellinger (L) LF
    P Goldschmidt (R) 1B
    J Chisholm Jr. (L) 3B
    A Volpe (R) SS
    T Grisham (L) CF
    D LeMahieu (R) 2B
    J Escarra (L) C

    1. Wells has his best night in a month, earning him a well deserved day off.

    2. It’s just unbelievable.
I’m guessing Boone is just making up his psychology, something like: “let them spend another day with that performance in their heads.”
But it’s unspeakably, inconceivably dumb to consistently sit the hot hand (apologies for the mixed metaphor).

  2. “DJ LeMahieu being useful is huge for this team.”
If it’s sustainable, as opposed to the all “SSS sucks them into using him for months of suck.”
I’m far more inclined to hang my hat on the performance of Rice, Wells, and even Volpe. If they perform, this team has both a present and a future.
