From Bryan Hoch:
The Yankees concluded an eventful Winter Meetings by reaching a trade with the Red Sox on Wednesday, acquiring Minor League right-hander Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz and international signing bonus pool money in exchange for catcher Carlos Narvaez.
It is the second consecutive Winter Meetings to feature a trade between the longtime rivals, following last December’s deal that sent outfielder Alex Verdugo to New York in exchange for three pitchers: Richard Fitts, Greg Weissert and Nicholas Judice.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said earlier on Wednesday that the Bombers have received numerous inquiries about their catching depth, which includes Austin Wells, Jose Trevino, J.C. Escarra and Jesus Rodriguez all on the 40-man roster.
I don’t love helping the Red Sox out, but hopefully Rodriguez-Cruz turns out to be something. Cashman obviously is well known for picking up intriguing young arms for players that they clearly don’t need, which is definitely Narvaez, who isn’t a BAD player, but had no real role on the Yankees, as they have too many young catchers who are likely to lap him in the pecking order. And they obviously have too many catchers on the roster PERIOD, ya know?

I don’t follow this
And I thought it was only me who didn’t follow that.
No soap, radio.
There were multiple Yankee news announcements in a short period of time, so I put up a post for each, and he replied to the posts with one post on each one to say “What’s up with the deluge?”
It really WAS a quick deluge of Yankee news after so much of nothing.
i totally follow it. I mean, you explain it to everyone else so they get it. But I definitely follow it.
