  1. Judge is still within striking distance of a triple crown, currently down .332 to .324 in average. A Bobby Witt mini-slump over the weekend would help. It’s not a likely outcome, but is still within the realm of possibility. Stupid Bobby Witt.

    1. I’d definitely go with a 6 for 6 at this point. I think the Triple Crown, outdated as it is, is still more impressive than 60 HR.

      After thinking further, I think I’d prefer a 6-6 game with 6 HRs. 😉

    2. With only 4 games remaining, that is a tough order. Judge has a shot at 400 total bases and a 700 SLG percentage, currently at 388 total bases and SLG 703. He’d be the first Yankees player to have a 700 SLG since Mickey Mantle in 1956. His 1.163 OPS is also the highest by a Yankees player since 1956 when Mantle finished 1.169. Better than that was Gehrig in 1936 at 1.174, so a chance at that.

    3. I had to specify 6 singles? Or anything but HRs?
In the real world, I’m obviously I’m all on board with your version, but it does kind of knock the quand out of the quandary.

And of course. Austin Wells exposed. Last 30 days 164, last 28 088. The Volpe syndrome.

      It can’t be Wells.

  2. New York Yankee stats

Yankees Trios Most Combined HR in Season

    143 Maris/Mantle/Skowron 1961
    126 Judge/Soto/Stanton 2024
    125 Ruth/Gehrig/Lazzeri 1927
    125 Judge/Rizzo/Stanton 2022

    1. So all it will take is for Judge to go 6-for-6 with 6 homers every day this weekend against Pittsburgh.

Will be difficult against Skenes, so hopefully it won’t be too much to ask Soto and Stanton to chip in a few against the other two starters.

    1. Chance for 60 HR’s again, DH him. Chance for 400 total bases, first Yankees player since DiMaggio in 1937, DH him.

  3. Yay win! Yay Cole! Yay Stanton!

And of course, yay Judge. Can’t ever, won’t ever take him for granted.

But when Stanton is on, this lineup is a lot longer…

  4. Pretty game!

And congratulations to Bradley on possibly the single least consistent strike zone I can remember. I shouldn’t say “single”, it was like eight different strike zones!
